The first day of freedom for the Málaga region of Spain as we enter phase one

After what seems like an eternity we can now start getting back to some kind of normality since this terrible illness has taken so many lives , families and friends have lost those most precious to them and our hearts go out to everyone who has lost someone special to them and special thanks to all health workers and supermarket workers that have kept us safe and let us continue our lives.

Entry into phase one is going to mean still sticking to rules but not as strict as those most of us have followed in recent weeks.

Phase 1 travel information

We can now travel with more than one person in a car and we can sit next to each other as long as you're in the same household and travelling within the same province.

Shops and services

Some shops and bars restaurants will be able to open but not big shopping centers, capacity will be at 30% and customers must keep two meters apart as before , most bars and restaurants will be outdoor seating only and customers will be limited on the time they spend in each establishment

Family gatherings and friends

we can now meet with family and friends in groups of 10  as long as they have no pre-existing conditions or low immunity , we still should not hug or kiss them as we still need to obtain the 2 meter rule and wear masks if possible and wash hands as often as possible.

Street Markets

markets will be able to reopen on streets but with restrictions on stalls, police will be present to contain how many people enter at a time and markets will be 25% smaller than before.

Hotels

Hotels can re-open but common areas will remain closed until cleaning and disinfecting have taken place

Football

Professional football players can now resume training but with protective masks and higher hygiene in place, all crowd sports such as football matches remain as in phase 0 and are not permitted, all sports which generate a crowd or close contact are still forbidden at this stage

Culture

Museums and libraries will reopen but only 30 people will be permitted at one time or full up to a third of their capacity

Churches and Funeral services

churches can reopen but only to a third of their capacity, funerals and wakes will be permitted but only a maximum of 15 people can attend.

Social care and services

priority will be given to those who are most vulnerable, such as the elderly, disabled and children.

Please enjoy your freedom but still use your common sense too, lets all pray we can get rid of this terrible illness and make Spain better again!
