"Latin Grammy Awards Salsa into Andalucía, Marking a Premiere Outside the U.S. Shores"

Last night, Seville sparkled as it hosted the Latin Grammy Awards at the Fibes exhibition centre, a first-ever event outside the U.S. Andalucía was buzzing with musical fervour as it embraced the sector's luminaries.

The evening was a showcase of Malaga's finest, with Pablo Alborán, Vanesa Martín, and Antonio Banderas gracing the red carpet. Malaga's pride, Alborán, with five nods, and Martín, with two, may not have clinched the golden gramophone, but their spirits soared high. Alborán, sharing his optimism, said, "Tonight is a victory, with my family by my side." Martín echoed the sentiment, celebrating the event as a triumph for their culture and language.

Alborán, a Latin Grammy darling with 29 nominations in total, was in the running for several top categories, including Recording of the Year and Album of the Year. The evening unrolled into a festive gala from 5.30pm, with over a thousand artists and a buzzing media presence.

The ceremony kicked off with Rosalía's poignant 'We broke the love', a nod to her recent split from Rauw Alejandro, who was among the audience. Antonio Banderas, honoured with the Presidency Award, lauded Andalucía as a muse for life's greatest songs.

Shakira and Bizarrap snagged the Best Pop Song for their viral hit about Shakira's own split from Gerard Piqué. Malaga shone again with a stunning performance by the Esaem students, under the patronage of Banderas, who joined Alejandro Sanz in an enchanting Andalusian courtyard-themed act.

Seville's stage also welcomed stars like Sebastian Yatra, Laura Pausini, and Maluma. While Vanesa Martín debuted with 'Pleasures and Sins', it was Andrés Cepeda who won for the best traditional pop vocal album.

The event, typically held in Las Vegas, has now woven its legacy with Seville and Andalucía, marking a new chapter in its history.
